It is in these times that it is all the more difficult to trust the government. But we must stay strong and believe to fight in the truth no matter how tiring and difficult. We must stay strong and believe and hope that there are still many people who is still doing what is right for the Philippines, inside and outside the government.#TheChiefJusticeOnTrial

I stumbled upon this link that a blockmate of mine shared online: http://worksofheartph.com
And I have to say. Beautiful, beautiful idea.
I couldn’t stop smiling just scrolling down the page because I was just really impressed by this. There are a lot of NGO’s out there with really good ideas but lack either the manpower or financial support to execute or implement them. This is why promotions are always, always important.
My mom’s promotions for her small NGO, for example, aren’t exactly the most eye-pleasing for our generation. Although I can see how much resourceful and creative effort she tries to input in them (such as using toothpicks, tissue, and cotton balls to make them 3D. Who does that these days?), she only seems to catch a small handful of her market’s attention.
I’m sure there are many NGO’s by small-time people out there with really good intentions but simply don’t know how to promote their advocacies, be it for the environment, education, health, and whatnot. I’m really glad someone came up with Works of Heart to help these organizations! (Why the heck didn’t I think of that? It’s such a simple, yet really effective idea! Haha!)
Check out their works: http://www.behance.net/worksofheartph
Pretty simple, and I know a number of you out there who can do just as great promos, and have the free time as well :>
What’s also great is that it’s not a business, it’s non-profit! :D Hehe, I can’t help but feel touched whenever I hear of people putting so much effort into something out of their own good will, and not for their own personal cha-ching :’) Although I don’t know where they do get their funds (hehe sorry for all the questions, Jiah :P), I definitely do want to learn more about how I can help them.
As Jiah said, it’s still young and unknown, but I’m pretty sure it will be big in no time. Many small-time organizations could use their services, and I’m sure this team could use some manpower too! The team is full of young individuals, like my blockmate who’s an incoming sophomore! The founder is actually just a fresh CS graduate. Ahh, the potential of the youth :>
So if you have a creative hand to offer, do consider joining them! Or if you’re not confident with those creative skills likemelol , you can still help with your willingness, said my blockmate, be it with the “technical stuff” such as finance or projects. They also plan to put up art & design workshops for communities! Aww, how nice :’)
Haha, I guess I just really like how this was made by people our age :D It excites me what our generation can do for the world, one small idea at a time. :) Thanks for sharing this to me, Jiah! :)
